As a CPA in the space of small businesses and start-ups, I have used Sage (Peachtree) for over two decades and purchased for clients. They WERE one of the best software packages for small businesses. Now I would recommend EVERYONE to stay clear as they hold their most loyal patron’s "hostage" force feeding them their new business model. Having purchased the full-blown version of 2017, the company now blocks your activation key from EVEN USING THE PROGRAM YOU PURCHASED. You call customer support and they give you a song and dance pushing you around leading you into an abyss of nothingness; no help; no support UNLESS you pay their price. Whoever is at the helm of this company should be shown the door. Loyalty means nothing to this company. Stay clear of Sage as I am sure down the line they will hold you hostage once again with higher monthly fees and business models that suit their bottom line but not yours!
