Original review updated by user Oct 22, 2020 Yesterday, I was a patient in the emergency room where Doctor Holland prescribed Lidocaine 5% patch. This prescription from Doctor Holland was needed to help my condition by substituting a lidocaine 5% patch to a hip injury, to avoid taking a codeine prescription causing my reason for coming into the emergency room. I took this to the CVS drugstore on Bedford Road to have it filled. They said they could fill this prescription but they needed Doctor Hollands approval so that they could cover it under my Medicare plan. I called Harris Methodist Hospital emergency room relayed that information to a representative They said that they would look into it and get back to me. After not hearing from them, I called again and found they received the information via an email from CVS requesting this approval. I called again yesterday, found that they have received the email from CVS and forwarded to someone administration. I called, Harris Methodist Hospital emergency room, again yesterday, and they said to call back later. A day later, I called again and was told by whomever answered the telephone on your behalf, that I wouldnt need to send in this email. I am very disappointed that I cannot get some sort of an answer or disposition on this prescription that was proscribed by one of your doctors. I would appreciate it, if someone with some authority could call me and tell me why, in my opinion, I am being ignored in my request for something that I need.
