On November 24th, 2019 I purchased 3 reclining leather sofas from the Barrie store location. I was told that they would be delivered within one week. Shortly thereafter, I was informed that due to the CN strike, they would be delivered mid December. The CN strike lasted all of two days and should have not impacted delivery at all. When I followed up with the fact the CN did not last and therefore I should have my furniture sooner, I was told again mid- December and they would be delivered on December 16th. The week of December 9th, I contacted the Barrie store on multiple occasions without returned phone calls or e-mails. I then proceeded to contact head office delivery via e-mail and phone calls -none of which were returned. I finally spoke with someone on Tuesday December 17th at the head office who booked delivery for Friday December 20th. I received two confirmatory e-mails re December 20th delivery. In the morning of December 20th I logged in to see that my delivery was scheduled for 8 am – noon on December 20th. Shortly thereafter, I received a phone call from some women who did not express who she was. She proceeded to inform me that due to “weather” the items could not be delivered December 20th as promised and confirmed. When I responded that there were no weather issues any where she changed her story and said that the truck broke down. I said that this was not acceptable and needed the furniture delivered today as promised. She said someone from the Barrie store would call me. While I was on hold with her, Glenn Murrary from the Barrie store contacted me to inform me that the truck broke down and they could not deliver today. I expressed to him that this was completely unacceptable – the store is a multi million dollar corporation and certainly has multiple other trucks that they could make the delivery on or alternatively should be going to rent a truck from U-haul. I informed him that I have been without furniture for several weeks due to the first promise of delivery within one week of purchase. I have a 2.5 month old son at home whom I have had to sit on the floor to feed for over 3 weeks due to these ongoing delays and broken promises by Bad Boy. This all while only days before Christmas with company coming to visit. Murrary then informed me that the furniture would have to be delivered on Saturday December 21st. I informed him that I had tickets to an event on Saturday December 21st that are not refundable and this was not acceptable. He told me that he would call me back in 30 minutes. He never contacted me as promised. After some time passed, I proceeded to contact him. He then informed me that the furniture would be delivered on Saturday December 21st by 10 am – he refused to guarantee this nor put it in writing. I have spent countless days e-mailing, phone and on hold trying to deal with receiving 3 couches. In addition, I was promised a free TV as a result of purchasing 3 couches – this never happened. They then turned around and offered me two wireless headphones – this never happened. Then I was offered a plate set which I did not need nor want. They have not fulfilled anything promised or guarantee or what has been put in writing. In addition, they have falsely advertised with respect to a free 30 inch TV. No e-mails guaranteed, no voicemail messages get returned and no one calls you back even when they say they will. I have been trying all day to contact their customer service and delivery departments – I press 1 to leave a message after hours on hold and their voicemail is even full so I cant leave a message either.
