Update by user Aug 12, 2019 102 Shore Drive not 120. Update by user Aug 12, 2019 120 Shore Drive, Worcester, MA Original review posted by user Aug 12, 2019 Medicare accepting Doctor, Dr Pina for my annual check up after waiting 3 months for the appointment since that is when my checkup was due. I was treated rudely, my personal information was repeated within an ear shot of every person in the waiting room. I complained right to the women being rude to me and told her I don't want to have another word said about my personal medical information. The doctor did not do a complete exam. When I came out from seeing the doctor the Office Manager wanted to go over why I was upset with my treatment at check in in front of the person who was rude and the entire waiting room. They then billed the wrong codes and did not care they billed non medicare codes for a medicare disabled person. I called Medicare and was told to call the doctor and have them change the coding. The Office Manager refused. I then filed a formal complaint with Medicare. The doctors office in January 2019 sent the bill to a collection agency. The Plan Manager called me on August 6th 2019 looking to collect the same bill. Medicare had overruled the Doctors billing because they were wrong. Medicare paid the doctor July 17th, 2019 and St Vincent's Medical Group, Dr. Pina cashed the check on July 31st. Again, they called trying to get me to pay the bill again on August 6th. Just a really sleazy, greedy or maybe just total incompetence or maybe discrimination because I was the only white person in an office of Latin employees including the doctor! I just don't know what to think. I had to fight for 9 months and for what. For what was right, the law according to any medical practice accepting medicare patients. I will never see any doctor that is part of this medical group and it is a shame because this was the only piece of work doctors office I have ever had a bad experience with. UMass Memorial and Reliant do a much better job without medicare billing issues, attitude or problems following HIPAA laws. No person, especially a disabled senior should have to ever go through something like this with any Doctor. Our medical community seems to have forgotten they have made sure we know medicine is a business that we pay through the nose for. They also seemed to forget it is a privilege to have a customer / patients not their right!
