Rude and Inconsistent with Dress Code
*SOLVED

3

The bouncers at this club/bar were very inconsistent about their dress code policy. They wouldnt let me and my friends in because we weren't wearing belts. Ok, I admit, it is in the policy. BUT my problem was, they were letting in people who CLEARLY violated the policy. Not only did we see someone being let in with baggy jeans (policy says you cant wear baggy jeans or pants) AND my friends that got there before us and were inside, said that there were alot of people wearing baggy jeans and even hats and caps (ANOTHER violation of their dress code policy). So my assumption is, they like to pick and choose who they want to come in to the club, and use the policy as an excuse to weed certain people out (and it almost makes me think its because me and my friends were gay, but i dont know...). And this isnt some really fancy upscale New York or California type club. This is supposed to be a more chill and laidback club in Baltimore, MD. I emailed a complaint to the club, and they responded, basically not mentioning anything about the fact that they were lettting in people who hadn't violated the policy, and just mentioning the fact that we didnt have belts, and telling me that I was wrong and said "Frankly, you are correct that there are other venues with different dress code policies. If you feel more comfortable in those establishments then I encourage you to frequent them". Very rude people. Completely ruined my night :(
