Roadside Assistance nightmare!

Allstate motor club roadside assistance sucks!!! My father has been a loyal Allstate customer for years and has maintained a roadside assistance plan for all of us that entire time. He has rarely needed the service however I have used it many times and been completely and utterly disappointed in them the majority of those times. There have been several instances that I waited more than two hours for service and no one ever came!! Each time I called I was given an addition 45 minutes eta on top of the original. I would eventually become so upset and frustrated that I gave up and paid out of pocket for someone to come help that actually came to help when they said they would. Today I am on the side of the highway between 2 rural areas with a flat tire. I have been here since 11:00 and it is now 12:30. I expected them to be about an hour getting here at the most, but here I am. The current temperature outside is 102 degrees and rising and I am nearly out of gas now having been waiting so long. The company they called to render aid is at least a 2 hour drive to its nearest location which doesn’t make much since to me. I know for certain there are a multitude of other companies that they use that are closer.....why? Do they just dispatch the first provider on the list? Do they not make an effort to check with providers prior to assignment? So frustrated!! I received an automated call from Allstate to confirm my service completion so I let them know that no one has even showed up yet! I was placed on hold then told that they had another customer to attend before they could come to me and it was expected to be another 45 minutes ( which really means another hour and a half). I am livid pissed with Allstates roadside assistance competence. It’s not the wrecker companies responsibility to determine whether they are the best provider to suit the clients needs. They just follow the list of locations to go to. I am going to be even more pissed if I run out of gas waiting for the service provider and have to sit in this heat on the side of a dangerous highway all alone. For the money the members pay every month for this service there should be a more quality experience available. All the surveys and follow up calls in the world can’t improve service if they are not actionable. This is incredibly ridiculous. I forgot to mention that the company they sent to service me has the most awful ratings I have ever seen in my life for any operating business. Not one decent review whatsoever. Come on Allstate, you can do better than this for your customers. People pay for insurance and such services ahead of time in good faith that their loyalty and consistency will pay off on the day they need to use it. People go years without ever needing to use their insurance services, never the less still paying them money that they consider to be an investment. The least you could do is to make sure people receive quality services when they do need to cash in on their benefits!!!! Uggggggggggh Ps.... 1:00 and still sitting here! This monthly membership is a waste of money and time apparently. Allstate claims that their members are “ In Good Hands” but there is nothing comforting about the way they handle their roadside services. The money you pay them to give you “peace of mind” is a joke! Side note: this is the most recent of my many horrific experiences with these people, there are many others. Why my father keeps paying them is beyond my understanding.
