My check engine light came on in my 2013 Kia Sorento. The car is not running well at all so it is parked in my driveway. I called for road side assistance and was told that they would take it to the closest auto shop. I live in a very small town and the shop they would take it to can't look at it for 3 days. That doesn't matter, you get to wait. I know this is an issue that the KIA dealer needs to deal with but Good Sam roadside assistance won't take you where the vehicle needs to go to be repaired and I would have to pay 42 miles of overage to get it there. A second call to Good Sam got me an agent that said they would tow it to the dealer since the closest shop couldn't even look at it for 3 days. Then a confirmation call this morning we are back to not doing what is necessary for the car. What a joke! They said that they would continue to tow it from auto shop to auto shop if they had to to find someone that could fix it! Is it a training issue? Maybe Ariel at Good Sam understood what needed to be done. But hey, she's not authorized to do her job correctly. Let's inconvenience our customers. Sad way to conduct your business!
