Rite Aid is pracicing data harvising

1

At the Rite clerk at 5270 Balboa Av, San Diego requested me to swipe my drivers license through the Credit card machine when buying Alcohol. I refused saying there is way more data than just my berth date and I refused to do so. She then stated OK I'll type it in and if I don't like there police, not to shop there any more. I proceeded to check out and the card reader prompted me to enter my e-mail and phone number before proceeding. I declined and stated this is not something Rite and should ask for every card purchase. She then told me not to yell at her, I stated I have the right to protect my personal date and they have no right to collect it and I also was not yelling and have to right to speak my mind, I then left the store. As I was walking out she told me not to come back as I ignored that as not to cause further conflict . This occurred at 10:21 on 4/29/20. I suggest Rite Aid pull the video/audio tapes to review and stop Harvesting personal data! I will be return and will ask for management intervention if asked to swipe my drivers license again. And if I get any nonsense I will call the police myself to the store. All that is required when buying Alcohol is to show a valid ID. NOT PROVIDE HOME ADDRESS, SS number, Height and Weight. and other nondisclosed information imprinted on the Drivers license. User's recommendation: Don't let them colect your personal data! Don't let them bully you because they are in a bad mood.
