Ripped Off By Wills Auto Sales in Indianapolis

My initial dealings was with the wife of the owner and was a very pleasant experience and she went out of her way to help. I bought a vehicle after a friend of mine (with excellent knowledge of Chevy 1500 engine V8 and transmissions)and I test drove the Truck. This was a stretch for me since I was on Social Security and used what was left in my 401K account to pay for it. The owners wife knew that and work with me to complete the purchase. I was proud of the truck and began fixing it up and making changes that really enhanced the truck and its look. I drove it for 6 months and I notice that the back end start to feel very bounce and I figured I would get new shocks when I could afford them. About a month later I was back the truck into a drive way when there was a loud clunking noise in the front end. After a couple weeks of the truck making this noise on tight turns I notice the front fire siting at a slight angle. I decide I needs to have this looked and get the shocks fix. I took it to a very good mechanic near me and he was shocked that I drove it there and told me I could not drive home. That is when I found out the frame was rusted and it was so bad that parts of the truck where just breaking loose from the frame and that it was unrepairable. I went to talk to the wife of the owner and was told she was no longer involved with the business due to her husbands health, which I completely understood. Went i asked who was now in charge and he indicated he was. I began telling him my story and was hoping to work out something about this deal. At that moment he raised his voice and his temperament changed completely and said you signed an "as is agreement" which all our car sold under so it was my problem. I tried to explain that the law still indicates that people can not sell things knowing that "They can not be sold or hidden be an as is agreement with they can not be used for the purpose intend' I then mentioned that I had talk to a couple of attorneys to try to further explain and he told me to go and that he had nothing else to say. Then he made the comment we sell everything "as is" and the minute a car hits the street right there and the car falls apart all I can say is "I hope you have fun picking up all the nuts and bolts. At that moment of unprofessional action I knew it was a waste of time and that I would deal with it through and ethical means possible.
