I had my screen repaired at the local Tesco car park. Technician seemed nice and asked me my insurance policy number and details. He then checked this on a list of approved insurers and confirmed the work would be free. Informed that my insurance would cover it, I authorised him to do the work. The work itself was fine and I was relatively happy. Three months later I have a bill for £54 because the insurance company doesn't cover windscreen repairs! Utter rip off. What was the song and dance for about checking my insurance policy and referencing his list if I had to pay anyway? Avoid.
