Update by user Aug 06, 2018 I got information from a kind soul on youtube who had the same problem and repaired it on my own with a replacement part.. Huawei never responded to me at all. The phone would be totally useless without a working camera Original review posted by user Jul 07, 2018 Hello PissedConsumer, Thanks for the followup on my complaint about my Huawei camera Mate 9. There is good news and bad news. Good news Credit to the person who updated a similar problem on youtube and showed how it could be fixed. This was no cheap camera and it ranks among the high price Apple Iphone or Samsung Galaxy. Bad news Huawei Technologies never responded to me. They should have apologized for lying to me. by saying it was caused by water damage and out of warranty. They have lost the opportunity to become one of the big three e.g.Apple,Samsung because of their stupidity. Their phones are no longer marketed in the US. They are great performance products but you run the risk of no customer support if you bought it outside the US.
