Update by user Jun 05, 2020 Company fixed issue and I have been provided with full refund Update by user Jun 05, 2020 I spoke to Clairol’s customer service phone line today, June 5, 2020. The representative was apologetic about my failed color issues and offered a refund or discount coupon. I opted for refund. The rep said that Clairol had about a year ago changed their formula on the Nice & Easy hair color line and apologized that the packaging did not reflect it. All the colors now will not noticeably change color but stay the creamy white color. The cream replaces the liquid color. If you have resistant gray, she advised that I either continue using the Nice & Easy color I have been using but to leave the color on my roots for 25 minutes and then smooth color all over for another 5 minutes. Also do a color timing test to determine how much time is needed for my gray to take the color. Additionally, if you have product built up, you should shampoo your hair 48 hrs prior to coloring. As an alternative, the representative suggested that I try their Age Defy hair color line. However, I will need to use another similar color as the one I use in Nice & Easy is not available in their Age Defy product line. I have been a Clairol hair color user for over 60 yrs and this was first color fail. Happy with resolution to issue. I noticed this time that when I put the combined developer color together, at no time did the color change from a creamy white color. As a result, after 25 minutes, my gray roots In front were still gray. That was the reason I dyed my hair in the first place. I am not a happy camper. Evidently the product has been changed, User's recommendation: Contact Clairol before buying a color product even if you have used the product for a long time.
