Update by user Jun 12, 2020 They cancelled the account but advised me if they found my mail in my mothers garbage again they would set the account up again and would not cancel....I will not put anything in her trash with my name on it from now on.....they stated this is a utility so they can do this but I have never had any utility just set up an account unless I requested their service. Original review posted by user May 11, 2020 I received a bill for service from Rumpke and I did not set up an account with them. They advised me they did an audit on my mom's garbage and found my mail in it. I live with my mom and am at my house only once a week I open my mail at her home so my mail will be in her trash I do not generate enough garbage to warrant a trash pick up. My mom is allowed 5 bags and never has more than 4. It is not right that they can just set you up an account if you do not ask for it. Said they have a contract for that area and you can't put your trash in someone else's but that still should not allow them to do this....they need to know the circumstances. I have power of attorney over my mom who is 96 years old and that is why I am there. I get mail sent to me for her so has my name and address on it. This is very poor business practice that they are doing this. Sounds like they can just go around and decide who needs service. I will not be paying this bill as I have informed them because I did not request it.
