Resolved: NEVER USE FIDELITY NATIONAL TITLE.

Update by user Oct 03, 2019 Thank you Fidelity National Title Company for responding to my review. My case is complete, and I am happy with the way they have rectified my situation. Original review posted by user Oct 03, 2019 This was work between their Loveland office and Westminster office. Fidelity set me up with an Escrow officer, Julie Dale. Between my realtor, her rep, and I- we could not track her down, or get her to run anything correct. We were working with her on the sale of my home and she sent her first estimated settlement without listing any of the loan payoffs on my side to cover my CHFA paybacks. WE corrected her, and asked her to please send another estimated settlement with these corrections. Next, I received an email from someone different asking me to fill out forms and return them with private information. I had to go out of MY way to chase Julie down, and ask who she was, and to verify it was secure to send this information. To follow, Julie's next estimated settlement statement recorded that I was receiving a profit of $2,158.32. I lived in an HOA and I always paid the HOA quarterly which was covered through October. This is something I had communicated MULTIPLE times. The sale of our house was on September 30th- and for some reason, they were CHARGING me for October. I wasn’t even going to own this property anymore!! I should've been credited for already paying. Julie's next and FINAL settlement statement *which we received the morning of closing on September 30th* recorded that I was receiving a profit of $1,642.23. There was some money being offered to the buyers on my end to fix a sewer pipe at $1,000- and we had to correct her again that her FINAL settlement statement was STILL incorrect. AND on top of that, she had the WRONG SALE PRICE which was adjusted a WEEK BEFORE closing. The buyers lender didn’t send out their paperwork until Friday evening. We had set our closing for 11:30am on Monday the 30th, but we revised and changed the appointment to 1:00 instead to give a buffer for their paperwork. We sat, we waited, we waited some more. Fidelity DIDN’T SET UP A NOTARY FOR OUR CLOSING. From 1pm until 4pm we sat WAITING for a notary. AND THEN the notary wasn’t even a part of our closing and had NO IDEA about anything on our sale. My realtor emailed Julie and called her and asked MULTIPLE times to please call immediately- and she never did. MIND YOU the buying of my new house, was at 3pm, and I had to push it to 4pm, and it was 30 minutes away. If Fidelity pushed their luck any second longer, I wouldn’t have been able to close on my new home or obtain keys and would have been HOMELESS. All my packing schedules, my time off work, my animals being boarded, ALL WOULD HAVE BEEN SCREWED UP. We finally get the notary, and they show me the new settlement statement. The notary shows me I OWE MONEY now. The new settlement statement had me owing some change of about $1,400 AND me PAYING October HOA WAS PUT BACK ON!!! We needed the settlement statement adjusted AGAIN with the HOA to be a credit and not a charge. Still came to a sum of owing $1,223.07. At this point, I was really fed up and signed this settlement statement at the table with the notary. Because their lack of getting ANYTHING correct, they said I could come back with a check tomorrow, on Tuesday October 1st and they would be in contact confirming the numbers. Tuesday October 1st came and went. I did not hear anything on my numbers. Wednesday comes and I received a call from a man named Todd who is the Vice President. He told me not only did I OWE the $1,223.07- but I actually owe MORE with the sum of $1,923.07. In this sale, I went from getting PROFIT of $1,642.23 to signing at the table with the notary for a SURPRISE OF OWING $1,223.07, to then two days after signing getting a call from the Vice President for a SURPRISE OF OWING $1,923.07. The ONLY thing Fidelity communicated they would do is credit me $140 for closing fees. Which they didn’t even do their jobs at doing. They REFUSE to pay the difference themselves. They should be happy I am even paying the $1,223.07 I signed for in the first place. NEVER USE FIDELITY NATIONAL TITLE. ESPECIALLY IN LOVELAND OR WESTMINSTER. #FidelityTitle #FidelityNationalTitle
