That is great and is certainly appreciated, although I will never figure out why it took 3 months. Anyway, issue resolved, GE and Jasco are on my nice list again. Original review posted by user May 28, 2018 I have several GE under-cabinet light fixtures UCF24/EB/DW/PRE that have been in service for several years. During their service period, these fixtures had not been touched until 03/May/2018 when one of the neon tubes needed to be replaced. When I tried to remove the lens to replace the tube, the lens crumbled. I used no force in removing the lens, the material of construction had simply become brittle over time. Because I have eight of these fixtures, I inspected the rest of them and found that they all have cracks. Keeping in mind that these lenses have not been touched since their installation, it is obviously a problem with the material of construction. I first contacted GE Lighting. That entity referred me to Jasco, apparently an affiliate of GE. Jasco advised that because the warranty on the fixture had expired, my only option would be to have replacement lenses custom-made to fit them. Although I will not be paying for this myself, I obtained a quote of $126 for the eight lenses. That amount is more than half of the cost of new fixtures. As the fixtures are branded GE, I filed a complaint against GE Lighting with BBB. BBB first contacted GE Lighting on 04/May/2018 and as of 28/May/2018, GE Lighting has not responded. Two images are attached, the lens that crumbled when I tried to remove it and one of the remaining lenses bearing a crack. This is my first in a series of many online reports recommending against purchase of GE products, especially light fixtures.
