Resolved: Bad Customer Service

Update by user Jan 19, 2018 Cancelled their service. Original review posted by user Jan 19, 2018 I have underground power lines running from my power pole through a neighbors backyard before it gets to my mobile home. Neighbor dug in his backyard to plant a tree without calling the electric company and cut into one of the 110 volt lines shunting the 110 volts to ground. I lost one of my 110 volt lines & power went off. I called P.I electric who said they could not get to me for two weeks. I called Kirkwood Electric and explained to them my lines run underground and you must have the necessary troubleshooting equipment to handle this as a lot of the other electric companies I called said they did not have the equipment to do this work. Kirkwood said they would send someone out in two days leaving me to think they have this sort equipment to do the job. That day came and no one showed up. Called them up the next morning and said is this how you treat potential customers by telling them someone will show up and no one shows up? A phone call hours later from Kirkwood and an apology said a Technician will be out today But, He first needs to stop by the shop and pick up supplies. Now that has the connotation that he needs to get supplies before coming out to fix my problem. The technician shows up with a multimeter only to tell me what a representative from my electric company, Lee County Electric Coop, and my multimeter (I've been an Electronic technician for 25 years) already told me that I lost one of my 110 voltage lines. I explained to him my power lines run underground and you have to have the equipment to troubleshoot this and he says to me "well we don't do that sort of work". Since all the other electric companies I called in this area had listened to me on the phone and said they did not have this specialized expensive piece of equipment needed to troubleshoot that, this company strung me along for four days with ***. They did not listen to me over the phone on the first phone call when they could have told me that then, so I could have called another electric company instead of stringing me along for four days of ***! Then the technician called his boss for 10 minutes and came back and told me they would do this work and I reluctantly agreed and he left not helping me with my power loss that fourth day dealing with them. I called back P.I. Electric Company and the guy said he could be out in three days. I called Kirkwood Electric back and cancelled them for the next days service and I told them how pissed at am at how I had been treated for the last four days with *** . Then the manager of the company calls me back and tells me he is going to send me a bill for wasting his technicians time with highly specialized piece of troubleshooting equipment he came out with to diagnose my problem of I lost one of my 110 volt lines that my multimeter and LCEC's multimeter had already told me days before! If you want a company who won't listen to you and string you along with *** for days then Kirkwood Electric is the company for you. if you want a better electric company who will listen to you and not string you along with *** then P. I. Electric of Lee County Florida is the company you NEED to call.
