Renewal of membership

I have been a member since 2018 I am 62:years old female retired with 30 years of service with the government in a customer service capacity. I was told they would honor my membership from last year so when I went to renew the manager named Tatum at the Cameron, NC location was dismissive and not apologetic about that they could not honor that membership. I would have thought since I was told by one associate Vanessa they would and another associate Cory who called me yesterday to try and work with me on the membership. I only do 2 fitness classes a week and have no need of the gym equipment. All they see is an elderly lady and just blow her off if I had been a handsome guy that lady would've been more than helpful
