Refusal to Issue Credit

My wife and I ordered a Barrelson Kitchen Island from Williams Sonoma. The whole ordeal has been a nightmare. Aside from taking FOREVER to arrive, the countertop was cracked when it was delivered and we had to re-order. Again, taking several weeks to arrive. When it did arrive it was the wrong countertop! Williams Sonoma didn't seem to communicate with their delivery service because no one knew what they were to pick up (i.e., the broken top, the base, the whole thing, etc). We ended up with a worthless kitchen island bottom in our small kitchen for weeks until they finally figured out how to get it picked up. Even then the pick up service didn't have the correct direction. My wife and I decided to get a refund for the stupid thing (around $4,700.00). Williams Sonoma has done everything to avoid repaying us the amount due. I have called so many times to gain clarity on this matter that I am considering some type of legal action...probably small claims but perhaps something more. Overall our experience with Williams Somoma customer service has been atrocious! I recommend avoiding them altogether.
