Refusal to cover doctor ordered treatment

1

It is ridiculous when a doctor orders a MRI for my spouse and the insurance company refuses to cover the procedure. The doctor knows what s patient needs and the insurance company has no right to overrule. My wife has had a sharp pain for two and half months from her temple to her throat and felt the MRI would diagnos what is going on. The insurance person that looked at the records saw in the past TMJ was on the records and assumed this was what this was for? The physician feels her pain is beyond normal and ordered this be done. What right does one non sympathy person have to overrule? If something is very crucial to her help this person needs to know decisions about what is best for someone and they are responsible when the procedure not being done cost a person very serious health consequences. Have whomever refused this be accountable for that decision and call me 502595****. If I make decisions on my job in management I do not hide behind others as this person did. They should not be off limits if they make decisions on a person's health. I was complimentary of my health insurance yet not now!! User's recommendation: stay away from united health care.
