Since acquiring a side-by-side KitchenAid refrigerator four years ago we have been under constant attack. Its simply the most unreliable large purchase weve made since our horrible 1979 VW Rabbit. The small tabs holding the front cover onto the snack drawer have broken at least five times, causing the entire handle assembly to fall off. The expensive replacement drawer is completely out of stock and back-ordered at every possible vendor including the factory itself. I have forgotten exactly how many of these I have purchased. The ice maker failed one week after the warranty expired. The entire freezer door needed to be replaced. KitchenAid did graciously do this. Unfortunately it has failed again. User's recommendation: Don’t purchase a KitchenAid refrigerator.
