Called Lane and no response then called the store where we bought the recliners. It is true the running gear has a lifetime warranty but the Lane company has been sold. So the lifetime warranty is now 5 years according to Kansas law. We bought a high quality $1000 chair with a lifetime warranty that is now trash. Might as well bought it at Big lots $150. Use it for 5 years and throw it away. User's recommendation: Don't buy at a high price store, it's only a name.
