I read the fine print in the online documents and determined that my cell phone number would indeed be shared with multiple "affiliates" if I gave it to Acuvue to authenticate my identity (see link below). How does a cell phone authenticate identity? It doesn't, and if I have my receipts, etc., why do I even need to "authenticate" myself further? A company that will not go a little out of its way to accept other ways of "authenticating" (code word for scam) is one that does not care about its customers, and it just lost me as one forever. https://www.acuvue.com/privacy-policy Emails from the company were uncompromisingly rude in tone, no attempt at all to try to keep me as a customer. User's recommendation: don't buy Acuvue.
