Pushing People magazine to my mailing address

Two months ago I suddenly started getting PEOPLE magazine in my mail. I though it was error the first time I saw it since I never subscribed for it. After the 4th one, I decided to call customer service People magazine which is when I was told this was pushed by this third party and it was based on a product a bought online (Amazon or elsewhere). This is absolutely ridiculous as my address is private when I buy any product online, how can M2 media dare to use it to push marketing material which I don't want to see. To be honest, this marketing "push" has made me aversive to even now getting this magazine in the future, let alone made me interested in buying/subscribing to this magazine ever! Horrible marketing gimmick by M2 media.
