Projector loses picture for about 10seconds and then comes back on with format border around screen, it happens ever 30minutes if watching TV continues

My Excelvan projector loses picture and blanks out for 10seconds until it reconfigures a format, ( I have Directv, so why is this happening? how can I get it to stop?
