Product is complete fail
I have repeatedly had a problem of them falsely going off (always at 2sh in the morning and usually over holiday weekends). And then they do the low battery chirp at around the 2 year old time. I installed 4 in the home and have replaced them repeatedly under warranty. It takes a call to them with a bunch of questions, but they do send you a new one out. The household is done them. I am soooo happy I did not start installing them in my apartments. Getting pissed tenant complains is a big headache. I have explained to "First Alert" that is unacceptable to pay for a service call on an apartment for a smoke alarm that has a 10 year warranty. They do not seem to care about making a product for property owners.
