ShelfTrack System: Ive used this system numerous times in many of my homes since approximately beginning in 1988. In Atlanta, Denver, Tulsa and now in Florida. Spent thousands of dollars and sold many systems referring my friends and neighbors. I made sure the system was still available, had my new closets gutted, repainted and ready for the new installation. I purchased all materials, and had shelving cut to correct lengths. Upon installation, I noticed the hanging cleat had been changed. I finished the install thinking it should be as it has always been done, and in about an hour, I heard it fall. The down rods fell out of the cleat! CLOSET-MAID has relegated this new system to a useless, screw in system, whereas previously only screws were placed in the cleat along the top rail! Now, everything must be screwed into the cleat and wall. This is INSANE! Ill never, ever purchase this system again! They have increased work time 10 fold, completely unnecessary work, by obliterating the CLEAT, its now become a guide rail, nothing more! Obviously, one of their engineers who had never installed a closet or had a clue about the process, was put in charge of improving PERFECTION and that task is IMPOSSIBLE! OH, and they fail to place a notice on the system that they had changed it! Its not noticeable, until you hang it onto the wall, then the difference appears! Im LIVID!! User's recommendation: AVOID WITH A PASSION.
