Product claim

Tried to make a claim with ST and the just said my product is covered for the 1st year via the manufacture.... Soooo whats the purpose of paying ST for a warranty that is already in place via the manufacture? This is one the best SCAMS I have ever ran across! I just cant figure why a legit company such as EBAY utilizes Square Trade??? User's recommendation: steer clear of these scammers!
