The receiver for my G6 glucose monitor fails to work several times per day, indicating problems with the sensor or receiver. The reason I obtained a Dex Com G6 was to eliminate the use of my glucose meter most of the time. Now, I am prompted to use my meter more often than I did before I had the G6. Thus, the G6 is of little use in avoiding finger sticks. Besides that, I may not be receiving test strips now that I have the G6. User's recommendation: Avoid the G6 is you want to avoid finger sticks.
