(warning, disgruntled rant ahead) I've lived in the blackhawk subdivision for over 4 years, and had the biggest headache I've ever felt dealing with these people. They spend incredible amounts of home owner's dollars on certified letters attempting to "inform" me that my garbage can was visible for a day. They sent threatening notices during a period where I was doing landscaping that "the grass was damaged" and gave me a period to "fix" it before I was fined. Communicating with these wasteful, tyrannical "helpful" folks was even more terrible. After selling my home, while it was on the market, I was supposedly sent notifications about dumpsters AGAIN, even though I had a professional cleaning crew cleaning the home. There are countless home being built with construction materials strewn everywhere, and my little dumpster for a few days warrants threatening me with liens? I contacted them asking to them to remove the fines, given I hadn't been at the home and hadn't seen the notices -- nope. More threats and more fines, obviously their money grubbing and making a career out of being a HOA member is more important than actually using the fines to threaten correction, and then removing if there was a misunderstanding. Terrible group, terrible Nampa Idaho HOA. Blackhawk Home owners association needs to be disbanded and new members who have more leniency put into place.
