Letter To Lenscrafters• •Complaint•Unauthorized Removal•Vision Records• (#1) 1/29/20 Dear Mr. Eric Anderson, -I had ordered a year of contacts like I always did when I was eligible to get contacts every year. I would depose of the worn ones after about (2) months. -I ordered a new set of contacts & put them into my eyes. -Immediately, my eyes became watery, irritated, & blood shot, it felt like I had an eyelash or grains of sand in my eyes. -I tried cleaning them many times, but nothing worked for them to feel comfortable in my eyes. -I couldn’t even keep my eyes open. -I threw that set of contacts because I felt they were defective. -I opened a 2nd set of contacts & went through the same thing. -I opened a 3rd set of contacts & went through the exact same thing again. -I tried for (2) hours to get any of these (3) sets of contacts to feel comfortable in my eyes. -I only had those (3) sets of contacts in the boxes. -I contacted LensCrafters & explained my situation & asked if they could send me (3) sets of replacement contacts. -I was told by the lady on the line that Mark Allmaras retired & my records & my son, Brady’s vision records are no longer at LensCrafters. -Excuse me? -LensCrafters have been my eye care center for many years & we developed a patient/ staff relationship. -When I walked into LensCrafters, it was not welcoming, it felt very dark there. -Who took our vision records? -How could anyone take my records from LensCrafters without my knowledge or consent to do it. -I had no clue that someone took my vision records to St. John, Indiana to Vision Boutique until I called LensCrafters that day. -I’ve never heard of Vision Boutique & they would not be my eye care center because it’s far from where I live in Merrillville, Indiana. -How is it legal for someone without my knowledge & consent take my vision records & my son, Brady’s vision records to an unknown eye care center? -LensCrafters gave me the contact number for Vision Boutique & they told me to explain my situation to them. -I called & talked to a guy Mark at Vision Boutique. -Mark told me they would send me (3) sets of contacts. -I also requested my vision records & my son, Brady’s vision records. -I contacted Vision Boutique inquiring about the (3) sets of replacement contacts. -I was told by the lady behind the desk that it would cost me $10.00 to send the (3) sets of replacement contacts or I needed o pick them up at Vision Boutique. -Unbelievable! -First, my vision records & my son, Brady’s vision records were stolen & somehow ended up at Vision Boutique in St. John, Indiana. -I was forced to wear my glasses for (1) month which are worn & could not longer get adjusted, they hurt the back of my ears. -I need a new pair of glasses, but I also need (2) boxes of contacts, one for each eye. -Davis insurance only covers some of the costs of supplies & services related to my eye care needs. -I was forced to be in pain for (1) month wearing my glasses. -I went to pick up my vision records & the lady told me she would put the (3) sets of contacts in the small manilla folder that olds my vision records. -I picked up my vision records, but did not open it. -I opened the small manilla folder & only found (3) single contacts for my left eye (astigmatism). -I called Vision Boutique & explained my situation to them & how I was not provided (3) sets of contacts. -The lady looked up my vision records & told me they could not provide me any contacts because my eye exam is expired, December 2019. -Throughout many previous years with LensCrafters, they always sent me & my son, Brady reminder cards that it was time for our annual eye exams. -My son, Brady & I never received any reminder cards & we were not even notified of Mark Allmaras retiring or my records being stolen & sent to Vision Boutique. -Then I requested my son, Brady’s vision records from Vision Boutique in St. John, Indiana. -Again, I was forced to pick them up at Vision Boutique & used a lot of gas again, there & back. -So, I made an appointment with LensCrafters for me & my son, Brady. -When I got to LenCrafters, I was told that I could not get replacement contacts because my eye exam is expired. -I was told I needed an eye exam, it expired December 2019. -The lady behind the desk used an iPad to look up my eye care insurance, Davis (US Steel). -The lady just continued saying, “maybe you went somewhere else.” -I told this lady (5) times that LensCrafters has been my eye care center for many years, I did not go anywhere else. -I told her to stop saying that as I was on hold to talk to a Davis customer service agent. -The lady was extremely disrespectful & inconsiderate regarding my situation. -There is so much going on in my life right now, it’s crazy busy, attached to this letter will explain things to you. -I feel that federal & state laws have been violated by LensCrafters (new) staff & Vision Boutique. -My eye health has been compromised because of everything that has happened regarding LensCrafters & Vision Boutique. -I was forced to wear a set of contacts with a rip in the contact for my right eye. -The ripped contact caused irritation, watery eyes, & redness every day. -My eyes felt so much pain because of the ripped contact for (1) month & behind my ears felt so much pain because of my glasses. -I feel I should be reimbursed for the costs of travel to Vision Boutique & from Vision Boutique (3) separate times. -I feel I should get a credit for the lack of standard quality of care & possible federal & state laws & regulations violated by LensCrafters (new) staff & Vision Boutique. -I should’ve been informed of the change regarding my vision records & my son, Brady’s vision records being stolen & taken to Vision Boutique. -I should’ve received a legalized & well-documented letter of changed regarding my vision records & my son, Brady’s vision records. -I should’ve been informed of Mark Allmaras retiring & new eye doctors & new staff now occupy LensCrafters. -Again, the news relating to Mark Allmaras & his retirement should’ve also informed me of it in a legalized & well-documented letter. -I went through so much discomfort because I was not notified of my vision records & my son, Brady’s vision records were literally stolen from LensCrafters. -I will fight for my rights & I will fight for my son, Brady’s rights! -I was a longtime loyal customer for years & this is the treatment I get for it? -I just might write a bad review & find out of other longtime loyal customers were treated so badly, same as me. -I have outstanding customer service skills & techniques, I’m really good at finding solutions to any kind of problems. -When my son, Brady & I were at Lenscrafters, I felt like they didn’t even know we were there. -No customer service skills, these new staff members did not make us feel welcome & that’s a big problem in our family, especially since my husband & I along with Davis vision insurance have spent high amounts of money to LensCrafters throughout the years. -I might also write a letter of complaint to Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill & Better Business Bureau so these traumatic situations don’t happen to anyone else. -You don’t know me., but if you don’t comply with my requests, you’ll find out who I am really fast. -I’m a fighter, not a pushover & I never back down. -Companies are supposed to take care of their longtime loyal customers & give incentives to keep them their longtime loyal customers. -I have a very loud voice that travels throughout the USA that could go public because of the total disregard of my privacy rights & my son, Brady’s privacy rights by allowing somebody to steal our vision records from LensCrafters causing me to be in such horrible circumstances. -My dilemma by possibly losing vision being forced to wear outdated glasses & outdated contacts just to be able to see on a daily basis. -The entire illegal actions taken by (2) eye care centers regarding my vision records & my son, Brady’s vision records. -Nobody got consent from me to take our vision records to an unknown eye care center to us. -I had NO knowledge of it, I was NEVER notified by either LensCrafters or Vision Boutique. -I’m a very sweet petite mom & woman, but I do not forgive so easily when staff employees cause negative impacts on me & my son, Brady. -LensCrafters & Vision Boutique eye care centers are responsible for me pursuing the necessary actions to make this right for me & my son, Brady. -I will not go away.! -I I not have a very reliable cell phone right now because they want me to upgrade it. -They also want me to upgrade my son, Brady’s cell phone. -We have iPhones 5 SE, I do not have funds right now to upgrade our phones.
