Primacy MXV4 Tread Life

My 2014 Accord (purchased new) came with MXV4s. They have maybe 4,000 miles left of tread wear (now 3/32"), that after 33,000 miles of driving. Rotations occurred at 4,000 miles, and the proper inflation (33 psi) was maintained faithfully. There wasn't any hard braking or aggressive cornering that would account for the excessive wear. Michelin claims these tires have a 60,000-mile tread life. That could be interpreted as hyperbole in some circles. It would require quite a bit of convincing to purchase Michelins again. Faith in the brand has been shaken, and it's unlikely to be revived. It's one thing to spend a little money and receive an inferior product; it's quite another to spend a lot with the same result.
