Is someone willing to ask point blank to Mnuchin or other high ranking official why the new SBA guidance for PPP loans effectively encourages business owners to commit fraud by lying on their applications to obtain funds that their businesses don't need? I know of a small company that took $150k but their revenues and gross profit are same as last year, and they are hiring people! They don't need any funds to continue operations or to maintain payroll, but the owner applied for the money so he could get, in his words, "a windfall". Its infuriating but it seems to have become the "norm" that we encourage fraud and look the other way.
