Power cord broke at base of pot

I was one of the lucky ones to have a multicooker that worked flawlessly..... that is until I plugged it in one day and sparks flew from the cord!! I removed the bottom plate and see it is easily replaceable... its sad there is no CS for us consumers to call regarding our issues.
