I have serious concerns over freeads.co.uk. This company, tries to get new customers to go through a very suspect verification process, which is carried out via a partnered company called Yoti. Being concerned about this I questioned Greg via the freeads online customer support; why Yoti would need my passport / driving licence and other personal information which could be used to steal my ID. I also asked Greg for their companies address / phone number as I could not find them on their website,. Greg became very evasive , rude and blazay, he would not provide the information I requested, and would only give a company email address. I questioned why he could not provide this information as he worked for the company and should being customer support know this, he merely evaded my questions at every turn, and kept pushing the company email address. As I was getting nowhere with him; I used WHOIS look up to try and identify the company , however WHOIS cannot identify them. I further checked companies house here in the UK and found things which raised further concerns; Including many resigned directors and secretaries over the years, along with their accounts showing them as owing way more than they own , looking at their figures you would have expected that they should have gone into bankruptcy a long time ago. All these things heighten my concerns over this company / companies. I feel they are possible scam / phishing sites, which I nearly fell foul of and that others may have already fallen foul of over the years. Maybe it's time for other people to also look into them, and raise any concerns they may have with the relevant authorities both here in the UK and also abroad! Companies you can raise concerns with are the Better Business Bureau, Ripoff Britain, The Federal Trade Commission and many others simply Google how to complain about online companies. I sincerely hope this helps save your ID and from being ripped off!
