Lemon filled Oreos have been absent from the nearby supermarket for about a month. They finally returned. Bought a package and they are horrible. The color of the filling appears darker. The filling seems wetter and creamier in texture. Those are not necessarily bad things. But the flavor that is horrid. These cookies used to taste lemony. Now they taste like tutti-fruity fake fruit flavor with a slight nod towards real lemon flavor. The artificial flavor of these cookies makes them disgusting and inedible. The change in taste is a bit confusing because the ingredient list is the same. But there is one difference in the packaging. They used to be called Lemon Creme Oreos. Now they are called Lemon Flavor Creme Oreos. User's recommendation: Find a different lemon cookie if you like lemon.
