Poor response to serious problem

About 10 years after my home was built I discovered a roof leak that was the result of improperly installed shingles. The first row of shingles had a gap between shingles that allowed water to get to the tar paper and the roof board. This spot also happened to be beneath a downspout causing many gallons of water to get to the roof. It did not enter the house which is why it took so long to find it but when AHP was informed about the problem they gave me the runaround. Now they never said they would not fix it and they sent about 3 different "experts" to assess the problem but after several unreturned calls I gave up on them making it right. I realize that it was well beyond the 1 year warranty but it was an error in installation that caused the problem. I don't feel I should have had to inspect every shingle on the roof in the first year of building. Also if you pay 200,000 dollars for something you should get more than 1 year warranty.
