Poor quality Work/Left job unfinished

Several weeks ago, during one particularly hot day, we discovered that our Heat Pump was not operating properly. Since we were trying to sell our house, it was imperative that we have the Heat Pump repaired as quickly as possible. We contacted Brunswick Gas, which noted on their website that they were a supplier, installer and servicer for Heat Pumps. Their Repair man, Ian arrived in fairly short order, and stated that the problem was the main blower fan, and that it would take a couple of days for it to arrive, and that it would cost approximately $700.00 to repair/replace. I am not a refrigeration technician, so I took him at his word. He ordered the part, and installed it several days later. Over the following week and a half, the temperature outside was relatively mild, so there was no need to use the air conditioning. We were content in the knowledge that we had just spent a great deal of money to have it repaired. Then the summer heat returned. The EXACT same problem. I contacted Brunswick Gas, and the same person came out. He looked at the system and said that there was another problem, with a different piece. He also mentioned that we were missing a part. I assured him that it worked for 7 years before, without it, and that I refused to buy a part that was not necessary. Shortly afterwards, he mentioned that we actually DID have the part, and it was already there, installed. At this point, I was starting to get somewhat suspicious of his skills. I would have thought that he would have verified the repair before he had left the previous time. He replaced another piece, and left. The problem remained. Unfortunately, my wife an I were required to be out of town for the following week, so I set up an appointment for 5 July 2013 with Brian, the owner, upon our return. On the evening of 4 July 2013, I phoned "Lisa" at Brunswick Gas to confirm when "Ian" the technician would be at the house, since either my wife or I would have to take time off from work in order o be there. I was told he would be there "first thing" at around 8 a.m. By10a.m. he had still not arrived. At 11 a.m., I phoned the company to find out where "Ian" was. "Lisa" said that she wasn't sure, but that she would find out where he was, and call me back. At noon, I phoned again, and Lisa said that she couldn't get a hold of Ian, but was still trying. At 1 p.m., I phoned again, and got Brian on the Phone. He told me THEN, after waiting for their Technician to arrive for 5 hours, on a scheduled appointment, that due to the fact that both I, and Ian suspected that it was the Compressor (the only thing that was still under warranty, and thus they couldn't make any money off of, was my take on it...), and that since they were not a Lennox dealer, that we would be better served by going with a different company. So, here we are, in the middle of a heat wave, with the temperature in the house hovering at 30 degrees Celsius, a MONTH after we had first had this company come in to fix out Heat Pump, after having already given them $700.00 to have it repaired, after waiting all day for a scheduled appointment, they tell us to "find someone else". Let me be perfectly clear: The problem did NOT change, after every repair attempt. Given all of these completely unacceptable actions on there part, I have to seriously call into question their previous repair. After speaking with another Technician AFTER I was told to find a different company, he said that the fan would have been the LAST thing that he would have considered. I have not only furious with their lack of service and inability to repair a piece of equipment that is supposed to be their company's specialty, but the fact that if they had told me TWO WEEKS AGO that they couldn't/wouldn't fix the heat pump, I would have found a different company that could.
