Poor quality wellingtons
1
During my 30 years working as a National Park Ranger on Dartmoor, I carried two pairs of your boots in my Land Rover, Hunters, for winter patrols on the high moor, and Argyll for heavy work such as walling etc. The former typically lasted for around six years, eventually succumbing to the effects of the acid soil. The latter lasted for around the same amount of time, usually being replaced due to the treads having worn away. I retired in 2010 and my final pairs of boots lasted until 2017. I bought a new pair of Argyll from Sam Turner on 13.11.2017. These developed split seams and were replaced under guarantee in April 2018. The replacement boots failed in exactly the same way a year later and were again (eventually) replaced by Sam Turner on 29.6.19. These have now failed in the same way (split seams). Three pairs of boots have failed in under three years! What has happened to your legendary quality? User's recommendation: Buy an alternative brand.
