POOR QUALITY FIREARMS
1
My first purchase was a savage Model 11 2*-250. Nice rifle with no problems. My next purchase was a Model 11 7mm-08. Less than 75 rounds later the bolt won't rotate, my gunsmith checked it out and found a defective safety that was keeping the bolt locked. A defective safety is the LAST thing I need in any of my firearms. Next purchase was Savage .243 a friend bought before I knew he was looking. Installed scope came with the rifle, what a joke. went to the range to sight-in, bullets all over the place 100 yds. Thing the scope was bad we removed it and was replacing it with a Leupold. Found the screws attaching the front scope base to the rifle were barely turned in, extremely loose. wasted 25 rounds of hand loads on a poor quality, poorly assembled pile of junk. NEVER EVER AGAIN will I buy Savage. User's recommendation: AVOID THESE RIFLES, poor quality.
