Poor communication

Update by user Dec 22, 2019 They still have not reached out to me or refunded the money back that's owed to me. My monetary loss was more than the $19 that I stated, that was a typographical error on my part. Update by user Nov 15, 2019 I would like my $1237.92 for time and money lost to Lithia Toyota. Update by user Nov 15, 2019 The money and time I lost $1237.92. I feel Lithia Toyota should reimburse me for at least that. That's exactly what I lost in the two trips that were made on mine and my wife's part. That's what they promised, to pay our way. I feel we went above and beyond what a customer would do to give business to a company. Let's see what they will do for a customer. Original review posted by user Nov 15, 2019 On October 24th I drove out to Abilene from Dallas to pick up a 2015 Tundra that was sold to me by Lance a used car sales person for Lithia Toyota of Abilene. When I got there from and after the test drive my bank had closed and we were unable to complete the purchase and could not take the truck with me and complete the paperwork the next day. I didnt understand I was already approved at my bank and had all the proper paperwork from my bank stating the money was guaranteed. Ive purchased new vehicles before and that I was told to take it home to see if I like it and do the paperwork later. Needless after Lance spoke to my bank prior to me getting there and a half down I drove back to Dallas without a truck. I explained that I had to work the next day and was unable to drive back and my wife would have to make the trip on her own. With that said Lance offered to pay her gas and food for the trip back. He also offered to pay my gas on the first trip I made that was never paid. The following day they offered to bring the truck to Dallas for a fee. They discounted the delivery fee that I paid over the phone and made arrangement to bring the truck to Dallas. It was getting late and they were waiting on one of the drivers to get back from Odessa to make the drive to Dallas. Again I was at work and my wife offered to meet them half way to keep them from having to drive all the way to Dallas. She stated that she would have to get a ride there to get the truck whike I work. He said he would call before they left in order to coordinate timing better. No call. While she was on the way there to meet the drivers thas when they decided to let us know I had to be predent to sign. My wife was frustrated at the situation as anybody would be. The manager Andrew threatened my wife and told her its all our fault and he was going to rip up the draft my bank sent and hung up on her. He also stated the two drivers were in their 70s with health problems and needed to return home and couldnt wait for her to come get me for by that time I was off already. Why would they send two elderly men with health problem in rainy weather and after they had been on the road all day. I question the management of people and communication skills. He also said she was yelling at him. I think not but then how would you feel if thisvwere to happen to you? To this day we still dont know what we did wrong other than missing information and details of the car delivery service. She returned again back to Dallas without a vehicle and shocked at the way she wss treated. I then called Lance and he asured me that the next morning the drivers would be on their way to bring me the truck first thing and said he would call me with an update. At about 10:30AM and no call I took the initiative snd called only to get voicemail. I then text and later recieved a text stating that if I wanted the truck I had to make a third trip out to get it with all my documents from the bank that they already had. The said they would write me s check for the delivery fee. Agsin he said hr was with a guest snd would call me back and no call back. After trying to get in touch with Lance or anybody to try and figure out what was going on I gave up. I recieved a text from the manager but not sure if it was Andrew or Kennon(sp). It wasnt a very pleasant one at that either. I have all the text and if you need those for reference. He also stated that I was harassing Lance the sales guy. All I was trying to do was find out what happened and why he wasnt standing behind what was told to us. After reading his unpleasant use of wording in his text he also said its late everyone has gone home snd he would let me hesr the tapes and would call me between 10:30AM and 11AM. Thinking this is management I will definitely get a call. Well I recieved no phone call. I sent one final text becsuse nobody would return my calls stating that I needed my money back for the delivery they didnt make. Still no call or text ingorming me of anything. I did purchase a truck but not from them. When I got to Abilene the first time the truck wasnt even ready and had damages on it when Lance told me all was straight and not a scratch on it because he looked at it himself. It wasnt. Im sure you can see why I'm writing this to you. Im not sure what your protocol is in a situation like this however something needs to be fone to correct this type of behavior before ither victims are done this way. Im sure I'm not the only one. Proper communication with the customer and a complete detailed explination of their vehicle delivery process along eith customer care I feel is something they need to work on or discuss in their next meeting instead of how much they are going to sell.
