As an employee of this company I’d like to share some insight for current, recurring, and potential future costumers... 1.) most studios are way understaffed. “One man work days” are what the company puts into play, until 8 or more appointments are booked for the day. 2.) appointments are scheduled every 15 minutes from the time the studio opens until the time the studio closes - and this is at ALL locations - that being said, it makes no sense if it’s a “one man work day.” And here’s why: studio sessions or “the photo shoot” is 15 minutes - the uploading/editing/selling process can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 25 minutes depending on HOW QUICK a customer can decided which photos they want to actually purchase. Now calculate all that time together; and keeping mind that appointments are booked every 15 minutes, there is very high probability of a wait especially if the studio is being manned by one person - who has to help the current customer, while also answering the phones (because they are monitored on how many times they answer the phone), and deal with crowd control in the waiting room... all by themselves. 3.) customers who walk into their appointment more than 10 minutes late, are SUPPOSED TO BE ASKED to either come back at another time (if there are people in the waiting room) or they are SUPPOSED TO BE ASKED to reschedule. 4.) THERES ONLY SUPPOSED TO BE ONE OUTFIT CHANGE per family - that means if you have 4 kids and two outfits for each kid - you should have them dressed in the first one, and then utilize the one outfit change for the 4 with the second outfit when you get to the midpoint of your session. 5.) calling ahead during holiday season is always smart! You can call your studio and see if appointments are running on time, before going in ! It will save you a LOT of frustration instead of having to sit in a packed waiting room for hours because Karen, Kyle and Betty Jo decided to take their sweet times getting to their appointments and the photographer decided they’d still take them instead of considering other people’s time slots. 6.) PHOTOGRAPHERS ARE ALLOWED TO END SESSION EARLY IF they feel customers or customers children are being unruly, and need a break - clearly if I a kid is upset and running around, and pictures can not be obtained and the photographer still has to stick to the “15 minute session time” rule - you may be asked to reschedule. Don’t be upset about it - seriously, if you made you kid who didn’t want to calm down sit there and take pictures - chances are they wouldn’t be smiling and you’d be really unhappy with you photos - we do this to help you get better quality images! 7.) newly trained photographers are a thing and 9 times out of 10 they’re nervous about your reaction toward them and their art (photos).... if they’re trying their best, please be patient - we all started somewhere ! 8.) above all - unless you’re being treated like absolute garbage - please understand before coming in that there are a lot of things going on that you’re unaware of, and it’s not typically the fault of the staff in studio but more so the business model on how we were taught to run the business.
