I have had 2, 8 gallon 1.5HP Central Pneumatic air compressors and both failed within 2 years. They were used to inflate tires on my vehicles and to dry gun parts after cleaning so seldom used. Both units failed the same way, pumped up to about 24 pounds and then just run and run with no additional pressure build up. As soon as I turn off pressure bleeds to 0 psi.
