Phone doesn’t work with European SIM card and Best Buy won’t stand behind product.

I went to Best Buy to get an unlocked GSM phone I could use in Europe, and the Best Buy person said the BLU phone was the best deal, and was assured it would work in England. I also bought a US sim card on Unreal Wireless network. That night I attempted to activate the phone/sim card but couldn't. I took the phone and sim card to Best Buy where the sales person after trying almost an hour still couldn't get it to active. I got a refund on the sim card, and after 5 minutes of trying got a Mint Mobile card to activate. I took the phone to England and went to a sim card kiosk at Heathrow Airport and bought an English sim card. After trying for 20 minutes to get the phone to work and trying the card out in 3 other phones, the salesperson told me they couldn't do anything with the phone. They also told me the sim card was non refundable since it had been activated, and that they have had multiple problems attempting to get BLU phones to work. I eventually went to another kiosk and got a phone that did work with the sim card. After I got back to the US I went to Best Buy, told the Returns department what had happened and tried to get a refund since the phone did not do what I was told it was. The returns manager refused to admit the phone was defective and didn't perform as promised. All he did was say look at the box and say the phone was unlocked and that I should have tried other sim cards until I found one that worked. Sim cards are about $30 and are non refundable if they don't work in a phone. I was charged a $45 restocking fee. I am very unhappy with BLU phones and with Best Buy. The phones are advertised to do something they don't, and Best Buy is more willing to read a box that says it is supposed to work instead of listen to someone who tried it and found out it didn't.
