Phone call from ” Global Tech” re computer virus

Rec'd a call from a man with poor English, saying he needed me to turn on my computer so that he could walk me through the process of getting rid of a possible infected virus. I told him my computer works fine. He became irritated, asked if I was the main user of this computer or was my husband. After a few more comments about possible viruses and "red blinking light indicating possible virus", I told him that I would not turn on my computer, and I hung up. If this really was a call from Global Tech, someone with a better command of English is needed. If the call was not from Global Tech, G.T. needs to post an alert for possible scams using their name.
