Payment Upfront before Exam

2

I went to the Pump Rd location in Henrico County. I gave the rep my insurance information. It took him about fifteen minutes to register me in the computer because he said I had not been there since 2016 and they can't store several thousands of patients in their system. Then he said I had to sign a paper to authorized to leave my credit card information or leave my banking information before my exam. I told him no. So then, he said I have to deposit $125.00 to be seen. I have excellent insurance and my copay is only $25.00 per visit. He said this is a new policy.I had chest soreness, but I left and if it had got worse, I would go to the ER which is more money but at least I would get better care and service. I left and waited to see my doctor two days later. Luckily, it was just a muscle strain from lifting some boxes. Not going anymore.
