Pantry Flies & Cob Webs ???

I started doing this type of storage due to living in the country an Mouse problems. I live in a very small community north of Springfield. I do major grocery shopping there. Last fall I filled up on one of my favorites Suddenly Salad. I have issues and questions about this product. I purchased brand new OXO Storage Containers before my shopping trip. When I got home I transferred the contents of each box into one of my new Containers and Sealed them. Today I rearranged my pantry and noticed that a lot of the SEALED containers of my Suddenly Salad had dead (I think) pantry flies and cob webs in the contents. They have been sealed tight since purchased about six or seven months ago. Another question is, since they get boiled to cook can I still eat them?
