Paid for Geek Tech Tool box, but recieved no fix for my problem.

I paid for Geek Tech Tool Box. Tech took over my PC for about a half hour and showed me the log that listed the 2,211 events he found. He called the events trace damage. He said he couldn't fix them and I should take my PC to Staples, Office Depot or Best Buy, where they could fix it, in 4 or 5 days, for $300 to $350. Then he said he could connect me with a service that could fix it today, online, for $250. I asked, "If that service can fix it online, why can't you?" He said he was only Tech Support and I needed a Microsoft Technician. In essence, Geek Tech Tool Box was useless and sounds like a bait and switch scam. I would not advise anyone to buy their useless service.
