The people who sell the time-share lie about the amenities. The rooms are in really bad shape--holes in the upholstery, the rugs, kitchens are not provisioned as promised, the rooms are dirty, the pools are filthy and a health hazard, and as an owner your reservation ability is behind the golfers, people off the street who walk in, and every body but owners. One year people on motorcycles stayed there and rode their motorcycles up to their doors at 2 a.m., were in the pool after it closed and vomited and defecated in the pool--it had to be emptied and cleaned and was unavailable for the rest of our stay. One year, the adults in the suite above us went out and left their minor children alone and they ran up and down the halls and screamed from the porches until after midnight. I wanted to call the Horry Sheriff's department but was asked not to so as to allow the on-sight people to fix the problem. They didn't. I still wish I had called the Sheriff. DON'T BUY FESTIVA-THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR OWNERS.
