About 4 years ago I purchased a double entry feather river front door set from Home Depot and installed by a well known contracting co. At the time of purchase I was told that these doors were a maintenance free long-lasting finish doors. Several months after installation one of the oval glass window insert started to leak [bad]. At this time my contractor had contacted Home Depot or feather river, and they sent out a local manufacture contractor to replace the window. I was in concern about the amount of water that had gotten inside the door, I was told no problem!. Several weeks after that installation the water remain to come right through into the entrance way. Once again the manufacture contractor replaced the window and added a noticeable clear caulk on the outside. I convinced myself at this time that I had purchased crap. Then I have notice the outside finish fading and flaking off. At times you can stand outside in the right spot and see the ribs in the door. My suggestion is to purchase a better quality of door and a company that will stand behind their product. Greg S.
