Overcharged on tip bc they do tip percentage on products as well as services!

When paying for my hair cut ($28) and Root Touch Up product (23.99), the tip part comes up, I push 20% which naturally one assumes will be on the SERVICES part. After I get home, I see my tip was $10.71 instead of $5.60! I called this morning to see User's recommendation: Either don’t purchase products or be aware you will be charged a tip on them as well if you use the % method during check out!
